Recently, we have been Servicing, Repairing, and Retubing the Best sunbeds throughout Wales, working on Ergoline sunbeds, Megasun sunbeds, and American Leisure stand-ups. There have been lots of repairs on these sunbeds due to poor ventilation issues. One of the biggest issues is that the sunbed rooms are too small for the sunbed. When you purchase an Ergoline sunbed or buy a Megasun sunbed you must ensure that the room size is adequate for the sunbed. What does this mean? Well, if the sunbed is, for example, 7ft 6 inches in width and the depth of the sunbed is 5ft, the sunbed cubicles are 7ft 10 inches in width and 6ft in depth. This is a big no-no! Unfortunately, a sunbed requires a lot of space to breathe and the perfect room size for a machine of this size, ideally would be 8.6ft in width and 7ft in length. You will require ventilation in the room, ideally, you will require the hot air to be removed from the sunbed room and fresh air to flow into the room. Another issue with a small sunbed room is when it comes to repairs normally a sunbed repair takes 1 sunbed engineer, but if you have a tight room, it may require a second sunbed fitter to assist, depending on the type of repair, this will make for an increase in the cost of the repair.
When you purchase an Ergoline sunbed or you buy a Megasun sunbed, these machines have temperature sensors on them and one of the biggest faults are caused by fan boards burnt out or the temperature sensors have failed. The sunbed may have to be stripped down for repair. When it comes to tight sunbed rooms and a lack of ventilation in your sunbed rooms, along with the heat build-up in your room, then any sunbed will break down. We have also noticed, whilst going around Wales repairing sunbeds, that very few clients know how to open the base of the sunbed and how to clean filters and fans etc, this is a basic skill that will help your sunbed perform at its best ability. When you buy a sunbed it’s a big investment, so please make sure you fully understand how to maintain your sunbed and open the base of the sunbed to clean filters, etc. One of the new services we have just launched is our Sunbed Care Plan for all sunbeds.
